Who we are
Moov Course (moovcourse.com) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us through our contact form or email .
What we collect
- When you sign up: username, first name, last name, email address, UK phone number and a password. Your password is turned into a scrambled code (a hash) before it is saved, so it is never stored as you typed it. We also record the date you joined, your last sign-in and a count of failed sign-in attempts (five wrong tries lock sign-in for 15 minutes).
- If you sign up with Google: your name, verified email address and Google account ID, which our server checks directly with Google. We ask you for a username and phone number separately.
- While you play: your free coin balance, XP, level, the number of games you've started and when you last collected your daily bonus.
- When you contact us: your name, email, topic and message.
- Security log: the date, form type, result and IP address of sign-up, sign-in and account actions. Passwords are never logged.
Where it's kept
Your account is stored on our server as a protected file that cannot be opened from the web. We don't display your data in any public table, and no database queries or account records are ever shown in the website. It stays until you delete your account or ask us to delete it.
Messages sent through the contact or Player Care forms are emailed from our server to our support inbox through an encrypted (TLS) connection with our email provider, and a copy is kept in a protected log on our server so we can reply and confirm delivery.
Signing in sets one strictly necessary session cookie (mc_sid) — see the Cookies Policy. We never ask for, collect or store card or bank details.
Why we use it (lawful bases)
- To provide your account and games — necessary for our contract with you.
- To check you are 18+ and in the UK — legitimate interests and legal responsibility.
- To keep accounts secure and stop misuse — legitimate interests.
- To answer your messages — legitimate interests.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and server files.
- Our email delivery provider, which delivers contact and Player Care messages.
- Google, only if you choose Google sign-in. Google's own privacy policy applies.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts used on the page.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Messages and log entries are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request and keep the site secure, and are then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how it's used, or receive a copy. You can delete your account yourself at any time from My account, which removes it from our server. To make a request, use the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
Moov Course is only for adults aged 18 or over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete any such account when we find it.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
